Sift both flours, baking soda, baking powder and the salt into a bowl. Using a mixer or whisk cream butter and sugar together until a light consistency for a few 5 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time while continuing to mix.
add the vanilla to the liquid mix and whisk or mix slower, add the dry ingredients from the bowl and mix until its a batter consistency, not long. Add in the chocolate pieces and mix slowly until evenly distributed.
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees (gas mark 4!). Line a baking tray with cooking paper or a nonstick cover. Scoop the dough onto the baking tray in separating for each cookie.
Sprinkle with a little salt and bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. take tray out of the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. Enjoy warm chocolate chip cookies!
